Projekt Beschreibung

China Steel Research „One Institute, One Park“ project is a key project in Shandong Province and a major investment project in Qingdao City. The project is located in the vicinity of Jiaozhou Bay, Qingdao, covering an area of 53 acres with a total construction area of 118,000 square meters. Construction began in November 2020 and was completed in December 2022. The project consists of 12 buildings, including 10 commercial office buildings, 1 office and hotel complex, and 1 hotel (exhibition) complex. The 12 building structures complement the image of Qingdao with its „red-tiled roofs, green trees, blue sea, and clear sky.“ Red-colored tile roofs are used, and the maintenance structures such as gutters, wall bases, and facades are designed in a European-style imitation. Our main responsibilities for this project’s roof include the design of the roofing system, selection and coordination of tiles and colors, optimization of roofing project details, construction guidance and support, and material supply.

Main Products* (please list manufacturer and product): 1. Main Material Manufacturer: Handan Wade New Building Materials Co., Ltd. Handan Wade New Building Materials Co., Ltd. was founded in 1992 and specializes in the research, design, production, sales, and construction services of slope roofing system materials. The company has three production bases. Its main product is concrete tiles, and all of its production factories utilize fully imported Italian Vortex automated production equipment. The company sources raw materials from international brands such as Monier and Dow. Its products have received high acclaim within China. 2、Main Materials: Fish-scale-shaped cement tiles (420×330×30mm) Special wind-resistant clips, ridge tile wooden brackets, wall mounting clips, L-shaped brackets, elastic flashing for joints, flashing gaskets, etc Other Materials (Please provide the manufacturer and product): Metal tile strips and tile strip brackets Special Details* (Penetrations, Joints, Fasteners, etc.): 1. Wind-resistant clips: Due to the high height and steep slope of the tiled roof, each tile is secured using wind-resistant clips as concealed fastening measures at the bottom of the tile. 2.Wall mounting clips: At the lower end of each fish-scale-shaped tile, semi-concealed wall mounting clips are used. One end of the wall mounting clip is hung on the tile strip, while the other end provides support for the tile body. 3.Mansard Roof Treatment: The project features mansard roof structures with a downward slope angle close to 90 degrees. The junction between the mansard roof and the vertical wall is treated with elastic flashing to address the details. 4.Window Treatment: The vertical walls have multiple windows, and the window areas are treated with self-adhesive elastic flashing membrane for detailed waterproofing. 5.Wall Corners: For the corners where two vertical walls meet, wooden brackets and wooden support are used for fixed installation, along with the eaves tiles for edge finishing. At the top, ridge tiles are used. Please detail the project and the reasons for submitting it *: The project features concrete fish scale tiles in a red color that complements the surrounding landscape design. The tiles are manufactured using through-coloring techniques, with a slight presence of black undertones on the surface, giving a natural and vibrant overall effect when installed. Due to its proximity to the coastline, the project area experiences frequent rainfall and strong winds. The majority of the roof constructions in this project are Mansard roofs, with vertical walls at a 90-degree angle. The roof area is extensive, with the tallest building reaching 13 floors and a height of nearly 50 meters. Considering safety as a top priority, the project has set high requirements for fastening measures during tile installation. After comprehensive consideration of the project’s specific conditions and relevant roofing engineering standards, various specialized fastening accessories were developed. Multiple fastening measures were designed, taking into account waterproofing and insulation requirements. The design incorporates L-shaped brackets, metal hanging battens, and self-tapping screws to secure the upper part of each tile (with two nail holes per tile). Specialized wind-resistant clips are used to secure the lower part of the tiles, while custom-designed wall brackets are attached to each tile, providing support and eliminating the risk of tile detachment on the 90-degree vertical walls. The project consists of 12 individual buildings, each with unique heights and structures. The total roof area covers 15,000 square meters, perfectly capturing and reflecting the original design concept. It has become a beautiful landmark along the coastline of Qingdao, enhancing the scenic beauty of the area.
