The International Federation for the Roofing Trade connects national associations, industry and science. It brings together the knowledge of the profession across borders and represents its interests internationally.

What the IFD does
The work of the federation rests on four pillars that interlock.
Guidelines and recommendations
The IFD issues its own recommendations, guidelines and technical bulletins. They form the basis for many national rules.
Congresses and working meetings
International working meetings and congresses bring members together regularly for professional exchange.
Young talent and training
The IFD promotes young professionals and holds the World Championship for young roofers every two years.
Standards and research
The IFD contributes to technical standards and approvals such as CEN and EOTA and promotes research into the roofing profession.
